The Kedarnath temple administration has finally taken a tough decision to impose ban the use of mobiles by the devotees. In order to avoid violating the norms in future, it is being considered to ban the use of mobile phones not only in Kedarnath but also in Badrinath. The temple committee has written a letter to the district administration and the police administration asking them to take appropriate action in this regard.
Compared to previous years, this time a large number of pilgrims are reaching Kedarnath and Badrinath for darshan. In these, many pilgrims are taking photographs inside the temple as well as making videos of the sanctum sanctorum and broadcasting it on the internet. Recently, the video of a woman showering money in the sanctum sanctorum and a YouTuber proposing her boyfriend in the temple premises on Saturday started circulating on the internet media. After this incident, along with the devotees of Baba, many people, including the pilgrimage priests, became very angry.
The executive officer
of the committee, RC Tiwari, said that a letter has been written to the police administration for immediate action to prevent such activities in the temple premises. I hope that a decision on this will be implemented as soon as possible.
