Anumula Revanth Reddy is an Indian politician who is currently the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) and the Chief Minister-elect of Telangana. He is a Member of Parliament (MP) in the 17th Lok Sabha, representing the Malkajgiri constituency in Telangana. He is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC).
Reddy was born on November 8, 1969, in Mahbubnagar district, Telangana. He is a graduate of Osmania University. He began his political career as a student activist with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). He later joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), which was then known as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Party (TRSP). He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) as an independent candidate in 2004. He later joined the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and was elected as the MLA for Kodangal constituency in Andhra Pradesh in 2009. He was re-elected to the same seat in 2014, after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Reddy joined the INC in 2017 and was elected as the MP for Malkajgiri constituency in 2019. He was appointed as the TPCC president in 2021. He is considered to be a frontrunner for the position of Chief Minister of Telangana in the next elections.
Reddy is a strong critic of the TRS government and has led several protests against it. He is known for his aggressive style of politics. He is also a popular leader among the youth.
